This took me a minute to read. Maybe have a little more like variation to bring the focus to the hand? I really thought he'd just chopped off his arm and was using it to pick his own nose. I feel like he should be slimmed down a little, maybe make him look like an average joe?
Aha! A nose picker! I love it! But since the guy kind of looks like those muscle diagrams of humans, I get the feeling that the nose-picker might somehow be attached to him. I guess I would just like to see the whole object for some clarification.
haah I think the invention is really funny and you did a good job showing it's function. I also like the way you used lines for shading was done nicely because it makes the character look more interesting but because the same handling of lines sre used on the device and the figure's hand, it's hard telling them apart. The hand holding the device could be stand out more because the wigth of it gets lost.
Lol good idea! I dont think its nessicary that you show so much of the body though. If its a nose picker than zoom in on the nose. I think it will help balance out the composition more. I also really like the style you have going in this one, but I'd like to see just a little more contrast. Otherwise great job!
oh yeah, also I couldent access my old blogspot account, so I had to create a new one, this is my new correct address: http://www.ellen-topitzer.blogspot.com/
I agree that you should change the linework from the person to the fake hand. I also agree that it has a use in that you don't have to pick your nose with your own hand. The style is neat
Like everyone else mentioned, I think if you're going to remove skin / show muscle structure, you need a good, clear reason for it. I'm trying to read into it, but I can't. However, I think the device is fine. Any doctor will tell ya not to put foreign objects in your nose, ears, or eyes. So, in being unsafe, it is indeed useless. I like it.

ReplyDeleteHaha that is the funniest useless invention!
ReplyDeleteI think the image is cropped really nicely. The guy looks like he doesn't have any skin? Is that intentional?

ReplyDeletei like the style, but the invention seems pretty useful to me, in a sanitary sense

You demonstrated the function of your invention pretty well, again like everyone else has said doesn't seem useless,-Henry

ReplyDeleteomg...this is funny.
ReplyDeletei think this one works as a useless invention.
by the way, since this person also shows anatomy (muscule structure,) it is hard to distinguish where is the invention.
Why is he like a corpse with no skin...?
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty cool though!
